Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has praised Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, for his resolute advocacy of Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue. Speaking at a recent event in Mirpur, the AJK premier highlighted Munir’s clear articulation of Pakistan’s position on the global stage, emphasizing the need for a just resolution to the long-standing Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions.

The prime minister’s remarks come amid heightened regional tensions, particularly following recent clashes with India. He noted Munir’s role in reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, a cause central to Pakistan’s foreign policy. The AJK leader also acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s efforts in countering disinformation campaigns, which he described as attempts to undermine Pakistan’s narrative on Kashmir.

Recent discussions on social media platforms like X reflect a range of perspectives on Pakistan’s Kashmir policy. Many users express support for the military’s firm stance, while others call for diplomatic efforts to address the issue peacefully. The AJK government has also allocated funds to strengthen emergency response capabilities, signaling preparedness for any escalation in the region.

The Kashmir issue remains a focal point of Pakistan-India relations, with both nations holding firm positions. Pakistan continues to advocate for a resolution that respects the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, as reiterated by the AJK prime minister.
