Envoys from Saudi Arabia, India, China, Pakistan, the United States, and European countries, led by the EU Ambassador, met with Dr. Rahman to discuss the new government’s foreign policy. He reiterated the importance of resolving issues respectfully while ensuring national dignity.
Dr. Rahman expressed a desire to return to the foreign policy principles of the late President Ziaur Rahman, which were positive and expansive. He stressed the significance of maintaining good relations with all countries while protecting national interests.
As Bangladesh navigates its foreign policy, the Foreign Minister urged the media to report objectively to avoid any imprudent statements that could affect international relations. The focus remains on fostering cooperation and ensuring the country’s interests are safeguarded.
