The government stated that it is actively verifying the identities of the deceased, using DNA testing for those unidentified, and ensuring comprehensive medical care for the injured across Dhaka’s hospitals.

A press release clarified that the government, alongside military and school officials, is compiling an accurate list of victims. Rescue operations, involving the army, fire service, and police, were promptly initiated, with hospitals like the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery receiving dozens of patients. The government has also provided emergency contact numbers for families seeking information about missing students.

A one-day state mourning was observed on July 22, 2025, with the national flag flown at half-mast and special prayers held nationwide.
