Bangladesh-Pakistan Trade: Bangladesh and Pakistan are actively seeking to strengthen their bilateral trade and industrial collaboration. On April 7, 2026, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, met with Bangladesh’s Industries Minister, Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, in Dhaka to discuss mutual interests.
During their meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in sectors such as sugar, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and leather. Muktadir highlighted the potential for joint initiatives that could further boost existing trade relations.
Haider praised Bangladesh’s industrial progress and investment-friendly environment, expressing interest in encouraging Pakistani entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh. He also stressed the need to increase communication and partnerships between business communities in both countries.
