China has called for an immediate ceasefire and diplomatic negotiations to end the escalating conflict in West Asia, which has entered its third day. The conflict involves Israel and the United States conducting strikes on Iran and Lebanon, impacting regional stability.

Mao Ning, the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, emphasized the urgent need for a cessation of military operations to prevent further escalation. She highlighted that a Chinese citizen was killed in Tehran, where military actions have targeted significant figures.

China was not forewarned about the U.S. military actions, prompting Beijing and Moscow to urge the U.N. Security Council to convene an emergency meeting. The Chinese government has advised its citizens against traveling to Iran, with over 3,000 nationals having already left the country.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have vowed a severe retaliation against Israeli and U.S. bases, raising concerns about further regional destabilization. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit China at the end of March to discuss bilateral matters.
