The ongoing Gulf conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel has resulted in the deaths of two Bangladeshi nationals and injuries to seven others. These incidents have heightened fears among Bangladeshi expatriates and their families in Bangladesh.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh expressed deep sorrow over the casualties and stated that the situation is being closely monitored. In the United Arab Emirates, Saleh Ahmed, a Bangladeshi from Baralekha, Sylhet, was killed in Ajman due to debris from an aerial attack on a civilian site. His family in Bangladesh is mourning his loss.

In Bahrain, another Bangladeshi national was killed in a separate attack, with three others injured. The Bangladesh Mission in Manama is coordinating with local authorities. Meanwhile, in Kuwait, four Bangladeshis were injured by a drone strike near a civilian airport. They have received medical treatment and are stable.

The Bangladesh Shipping Corporation vessel Banglar Joyjatra is stranded at Jebel Ali Port, UAE, due to security concerns. The embassy is in contact with the crew, who are safe. The incidents have intensified anxiety among families in Bangladesh, especially in regions reliant on remittances, such as Barguna.

With airspace restrictions and ongoing missile strikes, families fear disruptions to employment and remittance flows. The Bangladesh government has expressed concern and instructed diplomatic missions to assist nationals abroad.
