“India’s space startup Digantara Industries has entered into a strategic partnership with Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) to develop solutions aimed at protecting satellites from space debris. This collaboration marks the first instance of Singapore’s defence arm signing an agreement with an Indian space-tech company.
The agreement, announced at the Space Summit 2026 in Singapore, focuses on co-developing Space Situational Awareness tools to support Singapore’s National Space Agency. Anirudh Sharma, CEO of Digantara Industries, emphasized the importance of providing sovereign control over the solutions, allowing Singapore to locally deploy and manage these technologies.
Services of Digantara Industries
Digantara will offer services related to flight dynamics and conjunction screening, which will alert Singaporean satellites about potential collisions with debris. The collaboration also involves integrating sensor data with AI-driven analytics, enhancing Singapore’s ability to conduct sustainable space operations.
This partnership is seen as a gateway for Digantara to expand its operations across the Asia-Pacific region, including markets like South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand. By leveraging its expertise in space and ground-based sensing infrastructure, Digantara aims to enhance satellite tracking accuracy and effectiveness.
The collaboration is expected to provide a comprehensive view of Singapore’s satellites, supporting their safety and long-term operability in an increasingly congested orbital environment. This initiative is part of Singapore’s broader space strategy, which includes involvement in upcoming missions related to space-based sensor integration.”
