Pakistan has strongly denounced Israel annexation to assert sovereignty over parts of the Occupied West Bank, passed by the Israeli Knesset on July 25, 2025. In a statement released by the Foreign Office, Pakistan called the move a “blatant violation of international law”, warning it endangers efforts for lasting peace and undermines Palestinian rights.

The Foreign Office spokesperson stressed that unilateral actions like this breach UN Security Council resolutions and international humanitarian norms. Pakistan urged the global community to take notice and pressure Israel to reverse the decision.
Social media platforms, especially X (formerly Twitter), saw widespread condemnation from Pakistani users, amplifying calls for justice and Palestinian self-determination.
Reaffirming its stance, Pakistan reiterated its support for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as the capital of a sovereign Palestinian state. It emphasized that Israel’s new measures will not change the internationally recognized status of occupied Palestinian territories.
