Pakistan has dispatched a substantial Pakistan military force to Saudi Arabia, comprising approximately 13,000 soldiers and a fleet of fighter jets. This deployment, announced on April 11, 2026, is part of a joint strategic defense agreement signed between the two nations last year.
The troops and aircraft have been stationed at King Abdulaziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Sector. According to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence, the contingent includes fighter jets and support aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force, underscoring the depth of military cooperation between the countries.
This deployment follows a series of high-level meetings where defense strategies were aligned to bolster regional security. The agreement, which was formalized last year, aims to enhance military collaboration and readiness in the Gulf region.
Looking forward, this move is expected to strengthen the defense capabilities of both nations, potentially leading to further joint exercises and strategic initiatives in the future.
