Pakistan’s software-services exports totaled $1.01 billion from July 2024 through May 2025, up 27.4 percent year-on-year and the first time the sector has surpassed the billion-dollar mark in 11 months. Overall IT and ITeS exports reached $3.47 billion, led by software consultancy (29.1 percent of the total).

Industry group Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) credits the surge to policy support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council and global outreach by the Pakistan Software Export Board. Pakistani tech firms clinched 300+ business leads at London Tech Week 2025, while freelancers added roughly $400 million in foreign exchange.

Despite new taxes and rising operational costs, government plans—such as establishing 250 e-Rozgaar centers by 2027—aim to sustain growth. Social-media sentiment around Pakistan software exports 2025 is broadly optimistic, though some users highlight funding gaps for startups.
