Pakistan Turkiye MoU: Pakistan and Turkiye are set to strengthen their judicial ties as they prepare to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 6, 2026. The Supreme Court of Pakistan will host a delegation from the Constitutional Court of Turkiye, led by its President, Kadir Ozkaya.

The Pakistan Turkiye MoU aims to establish a structured framework for collaboration between the superior courts of both countries. This will focus on judicial exchange, capacity building, and sharing of best practices in adjudication. The initiative underscores the commitment of both nations to uphold the rule of law and reinforce judicial independence.

Key components of the cooperation include professional development within the judiciary, particularly at the district level. Joint training programs, academic exchanges, and exposure to comparative judicial practices are planned. The collaboration is also expected to integrate modern technologies into judicial processes, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and access to justice.

A joint working group will be established to ensure sustained engagement and effective implementation of the agreed areas of cooperation. During their visit, the Turkish delegation will engage with key stakeholders in Pakistan’s justice sector and discuss contemporary challenges in adjudication and judicial administration.

In addition to official engagements, the delegation will visit cultural sites such as Taxila and the Walled City of Lahore, highlighting the cultural ties between the two nations. The MoU signing ceremony will be broadcast live, attended by judges, government officials, and representatives of the legal fraternity.
