(Maryam Nawaz Sharif, CM Punjab, Education) Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Launches Mobile Montessori Schools

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced an innovative education initiative with the launch of “On-Wheel Montessori Schools” across the province. This program aims to bring early childhood education to young children in remote and underserved areas, ensuring access to quality learning opportunities where traditional schools are scarce.

The mobile Montessori schools are designed to serve as traveling classrooms, equipped to deliver foundational education to children who lack nearby facilities. Alongside this, Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the introduction of a school van and bus service for government schools, addressing transportation barriers for students in rural and hard-to-reach regions. These efforts reflect her commitment to improving access to education for all children in Punjab.

In a recent meeting with the School Education Department, the Chief Minister also outlined plans to expand the Nawaz Sharif Centers of Excellence, increasing student capacity from 240 to 1,500. Additionally, 10,000 classrooms dedicated to early childhood education have been established across Punjab, with further initiatives like Google training for teachers and students, and the development of 6,000 STEM and science labs to enhance the quality of education.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in public schools, aiming to surpass private sector benchmarks. She also directed officials to standardize school entrances for improved security and identity, while prioritizing quality teacher training to support these reforms.

This initiative marks a significant step toward equitable education in Punjab, particularly for children in marginalized communities, showcasing Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s focus on accessible and inclusive learning.
