Systems Limited BAT Acquisition Expands Global Presence

Systems Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading software and technology companies, has entered into a major international deal by British American Tobacco-BAT Acquisition. The company being acquired was previously owned by British American Tobacco International Holdings (UK) Limited. The acquisition, approved by Systems Limited’s board of directors on July 29, 2025, is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Details of BAT Acquisition from Systems Limited

The acquisition adds a strong IT and IT-enabled services portfolio to Systems Limited, including operations in customer support, HR, finance, marketing, procurement, and supply chain. The move significantly strengthens Systems’ position in the global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and digital transformation sectors.

As part of its broader expansion strategy, Techvista Systems FZ LLC—a UAE-based affiliate of Systems Limited—has signed a multi-year Master Services Agreement with Accenture (UK) Limited. Under this agreement, Techvista will deliver AI-driven shared services as a subcontractor, leveraging the capabilities of the newly acquired BAT unit.

Industry observers on X (formerly Twitter) have described this acquisition as a smart strategic move. It’s seen as a step toward enhancing Systems Limited’s global service capacity and competing more effectively in AI-powered IT solutions. The partnership with Accenture in particular is expected to drive innovation and long-term growth in BPO and digital services.

This deal reflects the growing momentum of Pakistan’s IT sector and highlights Systems Limited’s ambition to become a major player on the international tech stage.
