The Pax Silica Declaration, described as a historic milestone, emphasizes the importance of a reliable supply chain and recognizes AI as a transformative force for long-term prosperity. Signatories include Australia, Greece, Israel, Japan, Qatar, South Korea, Singapore, UAE, and the UK. Non-signatory participants include Canada, the Netherlands, the European Union, the OECD, and Taiwan.
The US Department of State highlighted the shared commitment to mutual prosperity and technological progress. The declaration is seen as a crucial step in safeguarding economic security through trustworthy AI systems.
India’s announcement of the New Delhi Frontier AI Commitments coincided with the summit. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw described these commitments as a significant outcome, representing a shared framework for inclusive AI development. Leading global and Indian AI companies have voluntarily adopted these commitments.
