On May 2, 2026, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi announced the signing of 2,792 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for South Gujarat. These agreements are projected to bring in investments totaling ₹3,53,306 crore and create 2.82 lakh direct jobs.

The conference, held over two days, was part of an initiative by the state government to extend the reach of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative beyond its traditional base in Gandhinagar. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has been instrumental in driving this expansion to other regions, aiming to boost economic growth across the state.

The MoUs finalized during the conference are expected to be implemented over the next three years. This strategic move is designed to harness regional potential and stimulate economic development, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive growth.

As the projects unfold, the state anticipates significant job creation and economic benefits. The Vibrant Gujarat initiative continues to be a pivotal platform for attracting investment and fostering economic partnerships.
