HyperVault Secures Land for Hyderabad AI Infrastructure Project
The project is being developed by HyperVault, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services, which has secured 264 acres of land in Hyderabad for the campus. Construction will proceed in phases rather than as a single build, with the facility ultimately designed to support up to 1 gigawatt of capacity once fully operational. That scale would place substantial demands on the region’s power grid, cooling infrastructure and fibre connectivity, factors that are expected to shape the pace of construction as much as customer demand does.
The campus is intended primarily for artificial intelligence companies and hyperscalers, the large cloud providers that run computing infrastructure at global scale. Its design will support high-density deployments of graphics processing units, the specialised chips used for training and running AI models. At full buildout, HyperVault has said the facility is expected to rank among India’s largest AI infrastructure campuses, a claim that reflects both the size of the land parcel and the ambition behind the 1 gigawatt target.

TCS chief executive K Krithivasan said Hyderabad offered the scale, talent and ecosystem needed to serve global customers, a comment that underscores why Telangana, rather than another Indian state, was chosen as the site for this TCS AI data center campus.
