LPG price hike India: The price of domestic cooking gas LPG in India was increased by ₹60 per cylinder on March 7, 2026, as oil companies adjusted to rising energy costs amid the ongoing West Asia conflict.

According to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), non-subsidised LPG, which is used by most households except those under the Ujjwala scheme, now costs ₹913 per 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi.

This marks the second price hike in 11 months, with the last increase of ₹50 occurring in April 2025. Prices vary across cities, with Mumbai at ₹912.50, Kolkata at ₹939, and Chennai at ₹928.50.

The price adjustment does not affect the Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries, who continue to receive subsidised rates. Earlier this month, commercial LPG rates saw a significant rise of ₹114.5 per 19 kg cylinder, now costing ₹1,883 in Delhi.

This development is part of a broader trend of increasing energy prices influenced by geopolitical tensions in West Asia, affecting global oil markets. Analysts predict further price adjustments if the situation escalates.
