Pakistan's Operation Ghazab Lil Haq Results in 274 Taliban Casualties

Pakistan’s military forces successfully executed Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, resulting in the elimination of 274 Taliban insurgents and injuring over 400 terrorists following an attack by the Afghan Taliban within Pakistani territory, according to Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, during a press briefing on February 27, 2026.

The operation, which saw the martyrdom of 12 Pakistani soldiers, was launched in response to coordinated attacks on 53 locations across the country. Lt Gen Chaudhry emphasized that the Pakistani armed forces not only repulsed the attacks but also responded with decisive airstrikes that significantly weakened the Taliban’s operational capabilities.

The conflict stems from ongoing tensions between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban, exacerbated by previous border skirmishes and unfulfilled peace agreements. The Pakistani government has consistently condemned cross-border terrorism and reiterated its commitment to safeguarding national security.

Looking forward, military analysts predict further strategic operations to stabilize the region. The government is expected to engage in diplomatic dialogues with neighboring countries to strengthen regional security alliances.
