Pakistan-Saudi Arabia have reached a significant agreement to enhance their security cooperation. On May 28, 2026, it was announced that 200 personnel from Pakistan’s Federal Constabulary Special Diplomatic Protection Unit will undergo specialized training in Saudi Arabia. This decision was finalized during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud.
The meeting, which took place in Saudi Arabia, also involved the exchange of Eidul Azha greetings and best wishes between the two ministers. Prince Abdulaziz congratulated Minister Naqvi on the successful arrangements during Hajj, highlighting the cordial relations between the two nations.
In addition to the training agreement, the ministers discussed broader bilateral relations and internal security matters. A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior is expected to visit Pakistan soon to further these discussions.
Historically, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have maintained strong ties, often collaborating on various security and diplomatic fronts. This new training initiative marks another step in strengthening their partnership.
Looking ahead, the training program is anticipated to enhance the capabilities of Pakistan’s security forces, contributing to regional stability. Both nations are committed to continuing their cooperation on security and diplomatic issues.
