Pakistan-Cambodia relations: On February 11, 2026, Pakistan and Cambodia reviewed their trade priorities ahead of the second Joint Trade Committee (JTC) session scheduled in Islamabad. Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan met with Cambodia’s Minister of Commerce Cham Nimul to assess progress since the inaugural session in Phnom Penh on January 21, 2025.

During the meeting, both ministers reaffirmed the JTC as the primary institutional forum for enhancing trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries. They explored opportunities for collaboration in pharmaceuticals, textiles, agriculture, and light manufacturing.

Both sides emphasized the necessity of strengthening business-to-business engagements through chambers of commerce to ensure that policy discussions translate into tangible commercial outcomes. They also discussed improving trade facilitation and logistics to reduce costs and ensure reliable supply chains, particularly for time-sensitive exports.

In separate events, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry hosted a business engagement for the visiting Cambodian minister. The discussions highlighted challenges such as high inflation and foreign exchange volatility affecting Pakistan’s business environment.

The upcoming JTC session is expected to identify priority sectors and practical deliverables to further solidify bilateral economic ties. Both countries are keen on translating diplomatic engagements into measurable trade outcomes.
