The Durand Line, which demarcates the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, extends for 2,640 kilometers and remains under stringent security by Pakistani forces. The Ministry emphasized that the Taliban collaborates with terrorists, smugglers, and criminal organizations to breach this border. In a statement, the Ministry referred to a briefing on November 25 by DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, who highlighted the challenges of cross-border terrorist infiltration. He noted incidents where Afghan forces allegedly fired on Pakistani checkposts to aid terrorist entry. The Ministry also addressed a post from an account named Afghanistan Defence, which falsely claimed rapid progress in removing the border fence. The Ministry dismissed these claims as staged content, consistent with Taliban propaganda tactics designed to mislead and manipulate perceptions.
