China Pakistan Diplomacy: On April 13, 2026, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed strong support for Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at fostering regional peace and stability. This endorsement came during a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

The discussion highlighted the recent negotiations between the United States and Iran, with Wang Yi reaffirming China’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s constructive role in these talks. Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to dialogue and diplomacy as the primary means to achieve peace in the region.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of the Pakistan-China five-point peace initiative, which aims to facilitate the peaceful resolution of regional conflicts. Earlier, Dar met with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong to discuss developments following the Islamabad talks.

The Ministry noted that Dar praised the foreign ministry’s team for their hard work and professionalism during the Islamabad Talks, which were seen as a significant step toward promoting peace and stability in the region. The strong Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership was also reaffirmed during these discussions.

Looking ahead, Pakistan is expected to continue its diplomatic efforts, with upcoming meetings likely to focus on furthering dialogue between key regional players. The ongoing support from China is anticipated to bolster these initiatives, enhancing prospects for long-term stability.
